Cassandra Mount (she/her)

Provisional Psychologist

With four years of dedicated experience in semi-acute mental health care settings, Cassie brings a compassionate and individualised approach to supporting both adults and young people on their mental health journey. Cassie’s work across diverse clinical environments has fostered a particular interest in eating disorders, leading Cassie to pursue additional specialised training in this area.

Cassie’s therapeutic approach is highly individualised, drawing from several evidence-based modalities including Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Systemic Therapy. This flexible framework enables Cassie to adapt her approach to best serve each client's unique needs and circumstances. Working across both adult and youth mental health services has provided Cassie with valuable insights into how mental health challenges evolve and manifest at different life stages, leading to a comprehensive care approach across time.

Cassie’s approach combines evidence-based therapeutic techniques with genuine empathy and understanding, creating a safe space for clients to explore their challenges and work towards positive change.

When Cassie is not in the consulting room, you'll likely find her embracing the outdoors with family and friends. Cassie is particularly drawn to activities on the water and hiking trails, finding that nature offers its own form of therapy. Cassie is also an avid live music enthusiast, and makes the most of any opportunity to experience the energy of live performances.
