Join our experienced and dedicated dietetic team at a Leading Eating Disorders and Body Image Private Practice - Mornington Clinic

We are dedicated to providing support for children, adolescents and adults experiencing issues with eating disorders and body image concerns. We are passionate about empowering people to feel better in their skin and strive to provide evidence-based clinical interventions grounded in respectful and caring therapeutic relationships. We are currently seeking an experienced Accredited Practising Dietitian for 1-2 days per week. The dietitian will work closely with other clinicians in the practice and will be a highly valued member of the care team.

Qualifications and Key Criteria

  • Qualified to practice as a dietitian in Australia, as recognised by the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA). 

  • Hold current credential of Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD).

  • Medicare provider eligibility 

  • Active ABN, professional indemnity insurance and Working with Childrens Check.

  • Sound clinical nutrition knowledge in a variety of areas, with demonstrated depth of knowledge in treatment for Eating Disorders. 

  • Demonstrated experience in treating clients with Anorexia Nervosa, specifically including delivering education and interventions for refeeding and achieving weight restoration. Ability to practice within a range of treatment modalities, including practicing within Family Based Treatment (FBT) informed principles or collaborating with treatment providers providing FBT, as well as more individual treatment models utilising a meal plan for weight restoration and recovery (i.e CBT-E, APT, MANTRA, etc). 

  • Demonstrated experience in treating clients with Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder, specifically including delivering education and interventions to address binge-purge-restrict cycles, physiological and emotional binges, etc. 

  • Understanding of the “Health at Every Size” framework and ability to practice within this approach and with these core values in mind. 

  • Ability to practice independently, as well as work effectively as part of a team. 

  • Willingness to undertake continuing professional development, supervision and further training related to working with clients with eating disorders is essential.  

  • Ability to work with a varied age range, including children, adolescents, young adults, parents and families.

  • A conscientious, motivated professional with highly developed written and verbal communication skills and stringent record keeping abilities.

  • Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC) status will be highly regarded.
