One of our Psychologists will call you back to answer your query or to proceed with the referral, where we will take some information to get to know you and discuss your specific needs.
Fees
We are a private billing clinic and unfortunately we do not bulk bill. However, concession rates are available for healthcare card holders and pensioners. Please contact us directly for more detailed information on session fees.
A rebate may be available to you from Medicare or your private health insurance fund (see below for more information). Accounts are to be settled on the same day as appointments and EFTPOS facilities are available for payments.
Medicare Rebates
Medicare Rebates are available for psychological services under the “Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative” for people diagnosed with a mental health disorder.
To be eligible for a Medicare Rebate, you must be referred by a GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician. Your GP will need to complete an assessment and prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan in order to refer you to a psychologist. You will need to book a longer appointment time with your GP to arrange this.
Eligible clients can receive up to 10 individual sessions in a calendar year. After the first 6 sessions, a review with your GP is required where you can discuss your progress and make further treatment plans if necessary. Eligible clients can also receive up to 10 group therapy sessions in a calendar year.
Private Health Insurance
Most private health funds will provide some cover for psychological services. However, the level of cover varies significantly and is also dependent on your particular policy. It is best to check this with your private health fund directly.
Cancellations
We require sufficient notice (48 hours) for cancellations, in order for us to reallocate your appointment time to another person. If less notice is received, a cancellation fee will apply which is not covered by a Medicare rebate. Please be mindful of this when scheduling and confirming your appointments.
