Senior Clinical Psychologist

Michelle is an experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist, a Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor, a credentialled Eating Disorder Clinician, and a yoga teacher.

Michelle has over 10 years’ experience in clinical practice and has worked across a range of settings including hospital, private practice and education. Michelle works with people aged 18 years and above.

Michelle’s areas of expertise and special interest is eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, developmental trauma, and recurrent depression and anxiety disorders, alongside relationship difficulties. Michelle is neurodiverse affirming and practices from an inclusive Health at Every Size (HAES) framework. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. She values creating a safe, accepting, and reliable therapeutic relationship, which she believes is essential to the therapeutic process. She works alongside you to make meaningful changes in your life and believes that recovery from an eating disorder, and developing a healthy relationship with food and your body is possible.

Michelle has an interest in embodied approach and utilises a range of evidence based, client centred approaches in her work depending on the needs of the client including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT, CBT-E), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and EMDR.

Available for in-person appointments at our Ivanhoe office, and also for Telehealth (video) appointments on Monday’s and Tuesday’s.
